Why we exist

Most businesses do not outgrow their spreadsheets all at once. They add one for stock, another for invoices, a third the accountant keeps, and by the time anyone notices, no two of them agree and nobody can say what last month actually made.

The software sold as the answer usually charges per user, so it quietly penalises you for hiring, and it is priced and supported for companies far larger than the ones that need it most.

We started from the opposite assumptions: one system rather than five, priced by what you run rather than who logs in, and set up by people who will still answer when you call.

How we build

The accounting, inventory and purchasing underneath are built on mature open-source foundations rather than reinvented — proven ledgers, and no lock-in. Our own work sits on top as separate applications, which is what lets us move quickly on the parts specific to your business without putting the parts that must simply be correct at risk.

Tax and invoicing compliance we write ourselves rather than rent from an intermediary, because it has to be right and it has to keep working every time the rules change.

How we work

We would rather do a small number of implementations properly than a large number badly, so we take on work we know we can finish well. Customers who join early have a real say in what gets built next, and we would rather say a feature is not ready than pretend it is.
